Moran Law Offices maintains “Best Practices” policies as required by the Title Insurance Companies for whom we act as title insurance agents. These policies are codified in writing and available upon request.  The following information is contained in our policies:

 

LICENSING - any necessary current license(s) as required for conducting the business of title insurance and settlement services are maintained.

 

ESCROW/TRUST ACCOUNTS – appropriate written procedures & controls for Escrow/Trust Accounts are maintained and updated annually as necessary.

 

PRIVACY & INFORMATION SECURITY – a written privacy and information security policy is established and maintained to protect Non-public Personal Information as required by local, state and federal law

 

RECORDING & PRICING PROCEDURES - standard real estate settlement procedures and policies have been adopted that help to ensure compliance with Federal and State Consumer Financial Laws as applicable to the Settlement Process.

 

TITLE POLICY PROCEDURES - procedures related to title policy production, delivery, reporting and premium remittance have been adopted and maintained.

 

PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE - appropriate professional liability insurance and fidelity coverage is in place and renewed annually.

 

RESOLVING CONSUMER COMPLAINTS - procedures are in place for resolving consumer complaints.
